Thanks for your report. I'm afraid 2GB is not quite enough space to
install Ubuntu. The fact that the installer didn't warn you properly
about this is also bug 48355, and will be fixed in Ubuntu 8.04.
By the way, Terry: the answers to the questions you asked can be found
in the logs.
