Public bug reported:
I experience the xserver to freeze the system when some applications are
running. This behaviour appeared since yesterday (after updating). It
occurs when Freeciv is running, as well as when starting vlc and when
Amarok's window is displayed (in the tray amarok runs without any
problems). At least, i can move the mouse...
On the other hand, everything is fine when e.g. running Battle for
Wesnoth.
I have a Nvidia Geforce TI 4200, using the "Nv" Driver (have not been
able to install proprietary on hardy so far).
This happes on KDE4, not tested on KDE 3.
There are no errors in xorg.0.log nor in dmesg. I have no idea where to
look further.
