Binary package hint: gnome-panel
The "Line in record" and "Line in" and likewise the "Microphone record"
and "Microphone" boxes in the settings seem to toggle display of the
same panels, and neither shows any more than one panel. In other words:
While having both "Line in" and "Line in record" turned on, toggling one
of them will remove the slider thing, at least on my system. I have had
the same problem with both Mint and Ubuntu. I am using Norwegian
language and regional settings. Maybe that is somehow involved, as it
has been in problems with other programs?
