OK, forget my comment about thunderbird from above. I just found out the following: There are different "tabs" (No real tabs, but similar), with "General", "Display", "Composition" and so on. Now when you select one tab and close the preferences window, thunderbird remembers that and shows the same tab, when you open the preferences-windows again, however, it resizes it so fit the current "tab". That means: If you left it at a big tab (actually I mean a tab that has much content, therefore is high) the last time like "General" or "Composition" everything is fine when you open the preferences-window and switch to other tabs. However, when you have left it at a small tab, like "Privacy" or "Attachments" the last time and then open the preferences window and switch to a big tab, the window is to small to show the whole content. Nattgew: Can you confirm?
So everything boils down to this: When the preferences-window is opened, it should resize to fit the biggest one of the "tabs", not the currently showing one. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: mozilla-thunderbird (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- Firefox/Thunderbird Preferences Window too short https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/186448 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
