Here is a patch, that should solve the problem.

  * Changed events/ibm-sleepbtn and events/ibm-hibernatebtn to use
    ibm-sleep.sh and ibm-hibernate.sh directly. (LP: #162472)

I've uploaded it to my PPA, so people can test:
