I can't connect to an open AP using iwl3945 in hardy (2.6.24-10), but it works with WPA protected AP. When trying to connect to an open network, it return error like : RX deauthentication from 00:12:17:ae:73:fe (reason=7) (look at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.22/+bug/149214/comments/3 to see a similar behavior with iwl4965)
