Initial requestor has not responsed to whether or not he has upgraded or
updated to 7.10. Marking this bug as invalid.
If you upgrade to to 7.10 or 8.04 and are still having problems with
Kubuntu hanging after you close and reopen the laptop lid, please update
this bug and we can continue to triag it.
