In addition to the above Debugging Program Crash, after you have traced and attached the reports, can you please try to install from a terminal using aptitude or apt. It will be `sudo aptitude install sun-java6-jre` or `sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre`. If this process either gives you any error please attach it as a separate attachment. If aptitude /apt-get also hangs, you can additionally trace it too and it will be further helpful in understanding the bug. Thanks in advance.
