I haven't been able to reproduce the first behavior you described (with the arrows), but the second one definitely happens.
To clarify: Open an instant message window with a buddy who has a buddy icon. Double-click twice on their name/alias, and it will turn to an editable text box. While it is in this state, double-click their buddy icon and a second name will appear, in the non-editing mode. It only seems to work when you have one window open (i.e. no other messages in tabs in the same window). I have attached a screenshot. I'm running pidgin 2.2.1. ** Attachment added: "Double-name behavior in an Instant Message window" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12159878/Pidgin_double_name.png -- Wrong behavior when editing the name in the infopane https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135074 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
