I just added the text "all_generic_ide" (without quotes) at the end of
the boot parameters and it works
unbelievable but the truth, the following applications are now working for me,
in the past I was not able to play an audio CD, but now the following
applications are all working
- cdplay
- sound-juicer
- Rhythmbox
