It will not respond to any key and has to be powered off by depressing the power button. Shutting down X and unloading nVidia and snd-hda-intel drivers does not help. Will not reboot from single user mode with the same symptoms. Passing "reboot=b" parameter to the kernel does not help either. This affects Ubuntu 7.10 Desktop CD (fails to reboot after initial install) and the current 2.6.22-14-generic SMP kernel.
