** Summary changed: - [Hardy] Gnome screen resolution doesn't apply changes + [Hardy Alpha-6] Gnome screen resolution doesn't apply changes for i855, fglrx, radeonhd
** Description changed: Before I upgraded to the latest alpha release of hardy heron I could change my screen resolution to anything I wished. However, after upgrading from 7.10 (Gusy Gibbon) to the latest alpha release (alpha 6) for Hardy Heron, when I go to system>preferences>screen resolution, the menu shows up with all the options. However, whenever I changed any of the options and hit apply..nothing happens.. the same happens when I click help. In fact the only button that does work is close. + + [Update] + In Alpha-6, this behavior showed a non-functional Apply button. Subsequent updates on systems with this issue, then result in bug #198951, which has the same fundamental underlying problem - the driver in these systems apparently do not really support xrandr 1.2 properly. -- bryce -- [Hardy Alpha-6] Gnome screen resolution doesn't apply changes for i855, fglrx, radeonhd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/199718 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
