I should have waited for a few seconds. One found it in /var/lib/doc- base. If the generated .omf file is broken, talk to the doc-base guys (or whoever creates it). It's not created by docbook-defguide. If it doesn't appear in yelp although you expect it to appear there, because doc-base (or some other program) generates .omf files in /var/lib or this purpose, talk to the guys who maintain the program that is responsible for this.
