Public bug reported: DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu hardy (development branch)"
nvidia-glx-new: Installed: 169.12+2.6.24.10-12.30 compiz: Installed: 1:0.7.2-0ubuntu1 I have had a problem with my second monitor since I've upgraded to Hardy Heron. Both monitors work, but the monitor on the right (second monitor) does not refresh until it receives a mouse click in a window or on the panel. Don't know if this is nvidia driver or compiz, but my suspicions at this point is that it is the nvidia-glx-new driver. The xorg.conf is included as part of this report and was auto-generated at installation time. Looking at it the file I wasn't completely sure there might not be something else that should be added to it to allow it to work properly. lspci -vv output ]---------------------------- 01:09.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Jaton Corp Unknown device 0001 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66MHz+ UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- Latency: 248 (1250ns min, 250ns max) Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 21 Region 0: Memory at e4000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M] Region 1: Memory at d8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M] [virtual] Expansion ROM at e5000000 [disabled] [size=128K] Capabilities: <access denied> 00:02.0 Display controller: Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03) Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
