Also happening for me. I've tried everything, reconfigure the package, remove, reinstall, etc... Nothing seems to be fixing this so far. Perhaps this is completely unrelated to synergy? I'd have to imagine since it works everywhere else with no problems, (gutsy included).
I have seen other issues with it lately, namely pasting to my mac from the firefox location bar, etc... Despite it's warts, what an incredibly useful program.
