SOOO Annoying. Sorry to say that, although I really like Ubuntu, Ive got to say that I'm a bit fed up. I use my laptop for professionnal use, and the behaviour of Ubuntu is completely unpredictable.
After having this stupid keyring password bug when starting Network Manager for wifi and many other problems (loss of icons, Nvidia driver, black windows, wicd not working so back to network manager w/ keyring bug, and other bugs), now I can't use my mouse !!! The "apic irqpoll stuff" up there don't work, and even if they did, they disable other functionnalities, like turning the computer off (that's why the comp remained on the whole night w/ the closing picture) 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP /var/log/messages Mar 12 11:14:42 trtibox kernel: [12267.452000] usb 2-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4 Mar 12 11:14:43 trtibox kernel: [12267.628000] usb 2-2: no configuration chosen from 0 choices Mar 12 11:14:43 trtibox kernel: [12267.708000] usb 2-2: USB disconnect, address 4 Mar 12 11:14:43 trtibox kernel: [12268.484000] usb 2-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5 Mar 12 11:14:44 trtibox kernel: [12268.680000] usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Mar 12 11:14:44 trtibox kernel: [12268.764000] input: HID 04d9:0499 as /class/input/input9 Mar 12 11:14:44 trtibox kernel: [12268.764000] input: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [HID 04d9:0499] on usb-0000:00:1d.1-2 The mouse works for 5 seconds and then turns off.
