I may be totally off here, but I think I've got the same issue with my Broadcom Corporation BCM94311MCG wlan mini-PCI (rev 01) card. (14e4:4311 rev 01)
Hardy alpha 6 (2.6.24-12-generic x86_64) Though unloading the modules b44, ssb and then ndiswrapper (in that order), then reloading ndiswrapper, ssb, and b44 works for me. And my USB works, as I'm testing out my tablet right now.
