Similar behavior on Dell XPS m1330 running 7.10 w/latest updates: Here are some odd behaviors:
1) Muting volume w/the mute media key registers successfully. Waiting at least ~ 3-5 seconds and unmuting *via the same media key* appears to unmute but fails. unmuting via the panel app works as expected (unmutes and restores original volume). 2) mute again via media key. after the failed attempt to unmute via media keys, whatever controls the media keys just assumes that the volume has been successfully unmuted, and subsequent presses register as muting/unmuting volume which has been turned all the way down (the little media key popup window says that I've unmuted and that the volume is down, but the panel control stays muted). So, in effect, I can mute the sound w/the media key, but after a few seconds, the only way I can actually unmute is through the panel app or sound mixer. It seems like after a couple of seconds there's some sort of disconnect between the media key and whatever it's supposed to access/control. -- Volume is turned down after muting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/45711 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
