No I believe it's not related to confirmation of age. Rather I suspect it might be related to gnomevfssrc gstreamer element - which also causes problem with gnash and youtube. I have tried to force giosrc instead of gnomevfssrc - that made gnash work very very well, but with totem it fails with a different error this time:
