Public bug reported: Binary package hint: casper
This is on Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" - Alpha i386 (20080306.1): I prepared a casper-sn.cpio.gz and put it into the casper/ directory (where filesystem.squashfs is also located). Additionally, I added "persistent" to my kernel options. Now I would expect casper to merge the contents of casper-sn.cpio.gz into my live filesystem, but that is not the case. It appears to be totally ignored. As I was unable to locate any precise information on how to use the casper-sn and casper-home feature on a Ubuntu system, I would also appreciate any hints as to how this is supposed to work on Ubuntu. Please provide detailed step-by-step instructions so that I can follow them and check proper function. ** Affects: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Hardy] Snapshots in casper/ are ignored https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202050 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
