Hi Leann, Please pardon the delay in getting back to you. I had some initial problems with the download as it would not boot from a CD. FYI, writing the CD using MagicISO under Windows solved the boot problem.
Testing to date there have been no problems with either the Ethernet or the sound, and the sound is working through the motherboard high-definition audio. Thank you. As I'm very interested in the Ubuntu implementation to handle Virtual systems that will be my next area of testing. Any suggestions in this area will be greatly appreciated. Have a great day, wes ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leann Ogasawara" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2008 3:54 PM Subject: [Bug 182649] Re: Ethernet and sound lost after installinglinux-virtual, linux-image-virtual, ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14-virtual Hi wes, Did you try uninstalling those packages afterwards and reinstalling the generic versions? Also, the Hardy Heron Alpha series is currently under development and contains an updated version of the kernel. It would be helpful if you could test: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . We'd be curious to know if this issue still exists.
