Confirm this on Gutsy w. 3.5.9 (but I've had it on 3.5.8 as well, maybe even 3.5.7, not sure).
Log in KWallet asks for password (for Kopete) Type in password -> KDED starts eating 100% of processor power, all KDE applications stop (akregator, kopete, konqueror..) Killing the kded process solves this. Looks like that kded likes to eat some resources: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdeutils/+bug/115739 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdelibs/+bug/194474 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdelibs/+bug/196005 (Maybe not duplicates but in all of them 100% of processor resources are used because of 'different reasons') Funny enough, the KDE bugrep is from year 2003.. -- kded crashes in KWallet (forgotten KMail password) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/86168 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
