This is not a bug as such. What has happened is that the command you
used has created a sources.list file with an invalid format, therefore
the package manager is unable to read it and doesn't know what to do
about it. If you go into the directory /etc/apt/sources.list.d and
remove the file medibuntu.list that should hopefully solve the problem.

If you need to add extra repositories to your system it is better to
follow the instructions here
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu However it is not
recommended to add third party repositories as this tends to lead to
other problems later.
