I've been unable to recreate this bug using update-manager version 1:0.87.12 in Hardy Heron, too.
Chrigu, could you please recheck whether the problem still exists with the current version of update-manager? You can check your version of update-manager by executing "dpkg-query -W update-manager" in a terminal window. If you have problems obtaining the newest version of update-manager because of the reported problem, try upgrading update-manager alone, first.
