I'm also experiencing this on Gutsy (7.10) with the 2.6.22-14-generic kernel
My system is a Dell Vostro 1400, and the USB devices in question are connected via a Kensington hub. The devices are an Apple iPod, and a USB IDE drive enclosure made by Initio (It's a generic store brand one). After a while (approx. 2 hours) the devices will simply unmount themselves and go away. I never noticed this until I got the external hard disk, but I believe this is just because I'm watching for it now. Both devices unmount at the same time, and I can't seem to see anything useful in dmesg. I can mount them again w/o any problems or errors. ** Also affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- USB mass storage stops working after a while https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/61235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
