I'm sorry I wasn't clear about that. You have it correct. When I boot the system with the card in, the system recognizes the card and it locks up.
The system boots fine without the card in, and once booted, the card isn't recognized (I don't think - I can't use the card, anyhow). Thanks so much for your help.
