Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk

Ubuntu 7.10
displayconfig-gtk version 0.3.7

I have an Aristo Smart 500 laptop with Intel X3100 gfx on-board. I wanted to
configure dualview for it. It took me some time but i finally made it work (i
think).
I have manually added to the xorg.conf file second Device, Screen and Monitor
sections. When i run the displayconfig-gtk i can change the monitor and screen
resolution for both of my screens.

And now the bug.

I don't have to change anything even, i simply click OK and the xorg.cong file
gets broken. Another device, screen and monitor sections are created, thus i
have three.
Of course this doesn't work. I have to run Ubuntu in recovery mode and manually
edit the xorg.conf removing the last sections.
With the new sections added and Xinerama turned on the X Server doesn't start.

** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu)
