Public bug reported: First I find it odd that I cannot even see this package or any related packages in the repositories via Adept nor can I install via apt-get. When I tried downloading the deb of jockey-kde and installing THAT, it told me I had a later version installed(later than the one in the repositories???). When I tried to run jockey-kde in the terminal the cursor moved down one line and does nothing. output after hitting ctrl-c:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/jockey-kde", line 347, in <module> u = KDEUI() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/jockey/ui.py", line 63, in __init__ mode=self.argv_options.mode) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/jockey/detection.py", line 465, in get_handlers for module, hwids in _connected_modaliases().iteritems(): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/jockey/detection.py", line 258, in _connected_modaliases for path, dirs, files in os.walk(os.path.join(OSLib.inst.sys_dir, 'devices')): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/os.py", line 303, in walk for x in walk(path, topdown, onerror): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/os.py", line 303, in walk for x in walk(path, topdown, onerror): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/os.py", line 293, in walk if isdir(join(top, name)): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/posixpath.py", line 195, in isdir st = os.stat(path) KeyboardInterrupt I'm sick of no OpenGL and slow, buggy performance with my ATI driver. I've also not taken my laptop anywhere, since I can't get my broadcom card working. I initially thought the restricted manager package wasn't done(I installed at alpha 2, then again at 4) but this is far more frustrating.
