Public bug reported:

I bought miniATX motherboard Intel D201GLY2A. When I boot Ubuntu 7.10,
6.06 or 8.04, or any other distro, it hangs up (with a kernel panic -
bad EIP value). I thought its a memory problem so I run memtest but all
tests passed ok. Long story short. After few days I tryied to lower
memory frequency from 533 to 400 MHz and CL from 5 to 4 and guess what.
It works. So there was a problem with memory, but memtest doesn't detect
it.

What to do with that? Hard to say, maybe some warning in memtest such as
"Notice, even if memtest end ok, it doesn't mean your memory is ok!"

** Affects: grub (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
