I believe the 134308 should be flagged as duplicate of this one I still can't understand the workaround given by Brad Crittenden on 2007-10-23: "For python-mode in emacs22 you must have emacs22-el installed and python-mode not installed."
I have removed and purged the python-mode package, and then installed emacs22-el package. How do I start python-mode then?
