After a little research I found that a "sysctl dev.wifi0.ledpin" showed
"0". Did a "sudo sysctl -w dev.wifi0.ledpin=1", and the led flashed
gladly on wireless network traffic.

A "sudo nano /etc/sysctl.conf" and inserting a new line with
"dev.wifi0.ledpin = 1" makes it work after a reboot too.

Can anyone confirm that it works on Hardy and other laptops with buildin
Atheros Wifi and native Madwifi drivers ?.
