Public bug reported:
Upon switching to the Hardy Beta (upgrade from Gutsy) X is noticably
slower
Desktop effects are nowhere near as smooth, and scrolling in all Gtk
applications (firefox, nautilus and openoffice etc) is jerky and can
cause the application to freeze for short amounts of time while it jerks
through.
