When using bzr-builddeb in merge mode, a bzrlib.errors.ObjectNotLocked:
KnitPackRepository('...') is not locked error is raised if the --orig-
dir value is incorrect. The full trace back is available at

It is worth noting that the operation is sucessful if the --orig-dir
value is correctly set.

Imo, the error message is obscure (the actual error raised does not
indicate the actual problem) and should be handled cleanly.
