Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: metacity

This happens with Hardy 20080324 and previous builds.

The windows of applications, such as Authorizations and Inkscape (attached
screenshots for these), are incorrectly rendered when maximized. The right side
of the window is cut-off and retains the size of the unmaximized state. This
does not occur for all applications. For example, gnome-terminal is rendered
correctly.
It happens for a resolution of 800x600 in Virtualbox. I could not try that for
other configurations at this time.
It seems to be quite similar to the (supposedly fixed) bug #43044.

** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
