Hi, If you want this behaviour then you can edit /boot/grub/menu.lst where it says
## should update-grub adjust the value of the default booted system ## can be true or false # updatedefaultentry=false to say ## should update-grub adjust the value of the default booted system ## can be true or false # updatedefaultentry=true Should this be enabled by default?
