An update on this issue. I had a new installation of Ubuntu 7.04 without updates. After I posted this bug I decided to try updating the OS again just to see if it would work. It did. I´m thinking that the bug was generated in the Gutsy installation I had on before I reinstalled Feisy onto I Powerbook. Good luck to those with this problem. I hope this post helps you out.
