In Google, when you search for something, and it lists the links it find, and you click on the links, you get directly to the links. --> False. Search for linux.com on Google, and just put the mouse pointer on the link : You'll see that it points to www.linux.com . Now, just make a right click on the link (the same thing appears with a left click, but you don't have enough time to see it) : the link is now something like http://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.linux.com%2F&ei=B37qR7SNDYreQazN4KcN&usg=AFQjCNHwYF4Coj1Vgue2TO-hC-0d9HGsjg&sig2=I1_PHXwpT0K-J2xwaHa77g
