I'm working with a brand new copy of Hardy beta, so the fix reported
earlier this month perhaps was not effective. I got this notice on my
screen when I tried to look for other media software:
Could not initialize the package information
A[sic] unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.
Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the
following error message:
'E:Malformed line 55 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse), E:The
list of sources could not be read.'
