I see, it seems that the program does not update itself when there are what it sees as active jobs,it relies on dbus to tell awake it when the job is finished. If Dbus never awakes it, it will never refresh anything! The function to refresh the times also relies on the actual existence of a job I believe (not to familiar with that section of code). Try this alternate version of the program which should refresh every second while there is still a job listed in the applet. You can copy it to the correct location with the following command "sudo cp printer-applet.py /usr/bin/system-config-printer-applet-kde" and you may need to "sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/system-config-printer-applet-kde"
If this crashes/messes up your system, either restore the old file from a backup or simply reinstall the system-config-printer package. ** Attachment added: "printer-applet.py" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12911101/printer-applet.py -- print status doesn't update automatically https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/206459 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
