Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

I appears that I have a problem on this machine that all the last
releases of Ubuntu have had a problems with:

Gainward Nvidia 7800GS Golden Bliss AGP and an old monitor Magic View
Plug and Play Monitor.

I was playing about trying to get the best settings - I was only able to
get 1024 x 768 after downloading the new nvidia glx(?) driver - and
activating it through Preferences > Appearance.

Did have some problems after boosting the screen resolution too much
but was very impressed that I could access resolution after the screen
went too big!!! by using Alt+F2. Screen and Graphics.

Other than that everything is working well at present.

Very impressed with Hardy Heron.
