Dell XPS m1330 w/Intel X3100 and Ubuntu 7.10 w/latest. Running Metacity, not Compiz.
First noticed this when trying to task switch between Stellarium and Firefox. Filed a separate bug report #207980 for the Stellarium package, but looks as though it may be a more specific instance of this bug. It does NOT occur unless I attempt to task switch.
