I'm glad you were able to resolve your issue.

I've examined the miro package, and I can't see any errors, in either
the current or previous versions of this package, that would explain the
failure that you experienced; I think this can only happen as a result
of local filesystem corruption or incorrect changes to files under /usr
by the local administrator.  So while this failure by python-support is
still ungraceful and should be fixed, I'm removing the milestone for
Ubuntu 8.04 because I don't believe it's likely to affect other users.
