Public bug reported: 1) Using Hardy Heron beta:
Created two accounts. (one during installation, and another one on startup). I unlocked the add user tool, and then removed admin privileges for both accounts, still logged into my default account. I left the root account as it was. At this point, I did some other things, and then needed to use some of the admin functions again. When I clicked the "unlock" button for any of the functions, the computer would freeze for about 20 seconds, and then display an "unexpected error" box. There was no way to access the unlock button at all. I am not very familiar with using the terminal, so I solved the problem by simply reinstalling ubuntu and keeping admin priviledges for both accounts. But I thought it was a bug worth mentioning, because Hardy is still in development phase. Cheers, Jay. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- admin fuctions permanently locked https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208850 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
