I can confirm this bug, however, following the suggestion to modify the udev rules resulted in a DIFFERENT 3rd networking device.
On my Vaio VGN C240E (intel 3945 wireless), iwconfig displays the following; ----------- lo no wireless extensions. eth0 no wireless extensions. wifi0 unassociated ESSID:off/any Mode:Monitor rtap0 no wireless extensions. ------------ Please note I have never seen this "rtap0" before modifying the udev rules. My wireless is still not working, and i'm about to revert the udev file. -- [iwl3945] Intel 3945ABG wireless card stops working on Hardy upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204709 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
