Public bug reported: Ubuntu Hardy Beta - clean install and upgrade from Gutsy. nvidia video card, nvidia binary driver Two X screens defined in xorg.conf
/usr/bin/compiz modified to include --only-current-screen On the main screen, compiz starts and works perfectly, but on the second screen, there are no window borders, keyboard doesn't work when on the second screen. Maybe this will help: As a workaround, after the desktop is fully loaded, going into gnome-appearance-properties and setting effects to none and then back to extra makes the window borders appear in the second screen and also the keyboard now works. Compiz continues to work perfectly on the main screen. Maybe there is a way to fix this and the extra-none-extra switch to not be necessary. ** Affects: desktop-effects (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Enabling desktop efects on 1 of 2 screens makes window borders dissapear in the second screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209229 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
