Public bug reported:
To install kubuntu hardy, I have an error when it is installed grub, the only
way to make boot Hardy in the kernel is copied to / boot of other partition
that already have installed grub (ubuntu gutsy installed on another partition)
Neither creates the file / boot / grub / menu.lst
Then I can not install grub to the shell.
grub> root (hd1,1)
grub> setup (hd1)
Error 11: Unrecognized device string
sudo grub-install /dev/sdb
Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grub
The file /boot/grub/stage1 not read correctly.
My hard drives in /etc/fstab are as follows:
