This is the error message I got when attempting to open OpenPGP in Thunderbird
(out of curiosity). Can't help but think they are related...

Error - encryption command failed
/usr/bin/gpg --charset uft 8 --batch --notty --status-fd2 --with fingerprint
--fixed list-mode --with colons --list-keys

gpg: failed to create temporary file
'/home/pw/.gnupg/.#1k0x811ce20-pw-desktop.9906: Permission Denied
gpg: keyblock resource '/home/pw/.gnupg/pubring.gpg'; general error
gpg: can't access /home/pw/.gnupg/trustdb.gpg; Permission Denied
gpg: Fatal: can't init trust.db: trust database error
secmem usage 0/0 bytes in 0/0 blocks of pool 0/32768

This is all the information about the problem that I can gather on my
own.

Could someone please help me fix the(se) problem(s)? if it is a result
of some local/personal error I apologize for the time I am taking.

Slowly yet surely I am learning it is not always my fat fingers but
sometimes my fat head that cause me trouble. from this point forward I
will attempt to read more info man and online forums before i execute
commands beyond my scope without direction/guidance. I will try humility
and crawling before I attempt to walk and run.

Thank You for your efforts,
Pete
