I've read in kubuntu-users that someone is suggesting to update to the
latest ndiswrapper. The thing is we already have that. We got
ndiswrapper 1.52!

So maybe we should try downgrading.

I've just booted into the old gutsy kernel and the working ndiswrapper
is at version 1.45:

$ ndiswrapper -v
utils version: 1.9
driver filename:
/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/ubuntu/misc/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.ko
version:        1.45
vermagic:       2.6.22-14-generic SMP mod_unload 586

We now have:
$ ndiswrapper -v
utils version: '1.9', utils version needed by module: '1.9'
module details:
filename:
/lib/modules/2.6.24-12-generic/ubuntu/misc/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.ko
version:        1.52
vermagic:       2.6.24-12-generic SMP mod_unload

On SourceForge they got the whole range from 1.45 to 1.52. So, which
one?
