** Description changed:

  Ubuntu Release:
  Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
  Release: 8.04
  Ubuntu 2.6.22-14.52-generic

After updating from 7.10 to 8.04 with all the newest updates i installed
the proprietary hardware drivers which Ubuntu suggested to install. But
whenever i reboot my system, Ubuntu will tell me it have to run in low
graphics mode. And i cant get my resolution to 1280 by 1024.

The only way i can make my monitor to work under the right resolution is
- to reboot in safe mode, and restore X server. Then i'll resume booting,
- but this way i cant get a second monitor to run or anything.
+ to reboot in recovery mode, and restore X server. Then i'll resume
+ booting, but this way i cant get a second monitor to run or anything.

The weirdest thing is that i haven't had any problems in 7.10 with the
resolutions or anything. It took some time to get there but eventually i
got there, even the second monitor. But i tried everything in 8.04 but
  with no avail.

- My videocard is a: Sparkle Nvidia GeForce 6600GT
+ My video graphics card is a: Sparkle Nvidia GeForce 6600GT
And i have 2 * 19" LCD Monitors of the brand Acer AL1922

I hope i gave enough information here, if anyone need anything more,
please ask. And sorry if my English is a bit poor :D
