Public bug reported: Right, here's the setup. Running Hardy Heron beta (KDE 3.5.9), fully updated from all repos (multi, uni, main, rest) as of 23:00 4th-April-08.
I was playing a FLAC file on Amarok (from separate partitions: amarok on /, the file on another partition (/share/music/), both with the Ext3 fs), and rebooted. The audio was being output from the audio jack to external speakers, and the internal speakers were properly auto-muted. When i rebooted, and without disconnecting the audio cable, when i resumed playback (not set to automatic), sound came out of the internal speakers. The workaround was simply to disconnect and reconnect the audio cable. I think my computer has the Intel HDA ICH8 controller, but i'm not quite sure. How can i look at my installed devices? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Audio output (speakers/jack) not detected after reboot. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212022 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
